Coses

Original post and comments at The Berlin Chronicles

N'explico tres:

2. Parlava de la tarda amb la Katharina. Passejàvem per Prenzlauer Berg, a la cerca d'algun bar on s'estigués calentonet.

Ell a Washington, jo a Berlin. El món ens ha semblat molt petit.

Things
I explain three of them:
1. I met Katharina, a friend of mine, this afternoon. When I got home after an almost four hours chat in German, my neuron needed a rest badly. So I turned on the CNN while I was having dinner. They were informing about the fires currently burning California. All of a sudden, a report on how the fire is threatening also the houses of the celebrities who live in the suburbs of LA. This is what the silly presenter said as a conclusion of the report: "Fire is also democracy: it affects both celebrities and people like you and me".
Excuse me?!?
2. While with Katharina, we were walking through Prenzlauer Berg, looking for a bar where we could have a drink in good (temperature) conditions. Suddenly, a car parked in front of us has caught my eye. One could say it had been abandoned. Then I realized... the car plate said it clearly: it was from Barcelona.
3. Galo is a friend of mine. He is also a journalist, we met at the university. Things of life (love in his case), he recently moved to Washington with his boyfriend. Last summer we met one afternoon, in Barcelona and spend a nice time chatting in a bar. Today we talked (and saw each other) through Skype. He is in Washington, I am in Berlin. The world seemed to be very small.
