I ho dic així i no em fa cap gràcia. Aneu votant partits d'àmbit estatal, aneu votant-los, i no trigarem a veure catalans emigrant a buscar feina a Castella.
The Catalan Socialist Party (PSC)
This is the ruling party in Catalonia, along with two others. As the party at the government which received the biggest support in the last elections, the PSC has the biggest responsibility in the political action. I was just watching an interview to one of the "big ones" in the party, and I realised that what is going on in Catalonia is freaking scary. The guy said a huge amount of incredible stupid things, but I highlight the following:
"I don't like suggesting any dates (...) but the AVE will reach Sants before next summer. Actually, I believe it will do so before Easter"
Step by step: AVE is the name of the fast train in Spain; Sants is one of the main stations in Barcelona, the first one to receive the fast train... whenever it arrives.
The incredible story behind these words is that the AVE was supposed to arrive in Barcelona in three weeks time (the date was given by the president of the Spanish government himself). What has happened lately, so that this date has been postponed to possibly six months? Making the tracks has been a disaster which has affected regional lines for the past 12 months or so! To replace the cut train lines, coaches have had to be hired from other parts of Spain; also Spanish drivers who, naturally, did not know the roads and had to be helped by passengers to find the bus stops!! I swear this is true: southern Europe, European Union, 21st century.
Now this asshole from the PSC talks on television, says something as amazing as the sentence above... and according to polls, his party seems not to be affected despite all the incredible things that prove they are absolutely uncapable to solve problems. Not only uncapable, they are responsible for what's going on.
To me, not oly the politics in Catalonia are affected by a fatal cancer, but the Catalan society itself is sick. It's like a cancer spread in a body, which I fear it might be impossible to cure. Most people just don't realise what are the challenges in front of us. I can picture Catalan workers migrating to Castile to look for work. I already know of one case. Give time to time.
