The Valencian citizens who are against the right-wing, Spanish-nationalist ruling party in their region have created sort of a motto which goes: "Barbaritat Valenciana". This is a game with words, since it sounds similar to "Generalitat Valenciana" (Valencian Government) but means something like "Valencian Outrage". Many Valencians are against their government, which has largely proven to be a nationalistic one, with the clear intention of erasing the Catalan culture from the Valencian territory.
Such a banner appeared in TV3, the public television from Catalonia, a couple days ago, as I just read in this post by Daniand also in Josep's blog. This was considered by a Mr. Rambla, a "minister" of the Valencian government, an attack to the government he works for. In my opinion, that this banner appears on a television program is simply a question of freedom of speech. Of course, what bothered Mr. Rambla and his nerd colleagues at the Valencian government, is that they cannot control what TV3 shows the way they do with Valencian public television Canal 9.
Being a right-wing, Spanish nationalist party anywhere in Spain means, nowadays, to be a radical with a dictator-soul.
